Today I love….my winter Mojito Recipe

21 Jun

I drink this regularly in winter (and frequently in summer for that matter!) and recently found a recipe for this on the interweb.

I thought mine was much better though as it is so much easier!

Ingredients to make one (healthy size) glass:

  1. Small mint sprig from the garden
  2. Lemonade/Soda water/Tonic/Plain mineral water – whatever works best for you!
  3. Splash of Schweppes Lime Cordial and/or fresh lime juice if you have it
  4. 1 tsp caster sugar
  5. White Rum

Preparation

Muddle the mint leaves in a cocktail shaker with the cordial and/or lime juice and sugar.

Add ice cubes to fill a shaker and pour in the rum and lemonade.

Gently shake a few times to incorporate (remember: lemonade is fizzy so don’t get too excited!)

Strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish, if desired.
