I drink this regularly in winter (and frequently in summer for that matter!) and recently found a recipe for this on the interweb.
I thought mine was much better though as it is so much easier!
Ingredients to make one (healthy size) glass:
- Small mint sprig from the garden
- Lemonade/Soda water/Tonic/Plain mineral water – whatever works best for you!
- Splash of Schweppes Lime Cordial and/or fresh lime juice if you have it
- 1 tsp caster sugar
- White Rum
Preparation
Muddle the mint leaves in a cocktail shaker with the cordial and/or lime juice and sugar.
Add ice cubes to fill a shaker and pour in the rum and lemonade.
Gently shake a few times to incorporate (remember: lemonade is fizzy so don’t get too excited!)
Strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish, if desired.
